Khon Kaen, Thailand – Students in the Cybersecurity programme at Khon Kaen University’s College of Computing have demonstrated remarkable success, with over 65 students — representing more than 88% of the programme’s total enrolment — passing internationally recognised professional certification exams.
This achievement highlights the programme’s alignment with global standards and the readiness of its graduates to enter the high-demand field of cybersecurity.
The university’s cybersecurity curriculum is designed to align with international professional frameworks, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical, industry-relevant skills. The programme actively supports students in obtaining industry-recognised certifications, including:
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH): An internationally respected certification from EC-Council for professionals in penetration testing and ethical hacking.
- CompTIA CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst+): A certification for cybersecurity analysts covering threat detection, behavioral analysis, and incident response.
- CompTIA PenTest+: A certification for penetration testing specialists, emphasizing both practical skills and test management.
A key feature of the programme is its full financial support for students taking these certification exams. Third-year students are provided with vouchers and can choose which certification to pursue based on their individual career interests, whether in Offensive Security, Defensive Security, or Security Analysis.
