Faculty of Engineering discussed collaboration with TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION from Japan

July 25, 2019 – Dr. Chang-Yi LUO, Senior Researcher and Assistant Manager of TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION, Japan met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panakrit Khlangbunkhrong, Deputy Director of the Center for Research and Sustainable Development of Infrastructures, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanet Sathiannam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichuda Sathiannam and Asst. Prof. Rutchai Ungarunyawee, lecturers of Department of Computer Engineering of Khon Kaen University to discuss Phase 2 collaboration between the Center for Research and Sustainable Development of Infrastructures, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering of Khon Kaen University and TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION, Japan. The first phase in 2018 was on “Evaluation of Traffic Accident Analysis Tool in Khon Kaen and Assessment of Potential for ITS V2X Safety Applications in Thailand”.

This project aims at analyzing dangerous points of motorcyclists in Khon Kaen city, motorcycle accidents caused by red light running at intersections, and motorcyclists’ riding behaviors at intersections with traffic lights.
