KKUIC holds “The Inspiring Entertainment” – enabling new gen to use social networks

April 1, 2022 – The International College, Khon Kaen University held the KKUIC the insider 8 KKUIC: the inspiring entertainment event. Asst. Prof. Sirimonporn Thipsing, Dean of the College delivered the opening address. The event was honored to have Mr. Khemchat Somjaiwong, Vice President of Khon Kaen 1997 Education Foundation joining. About 50 lecturers and students attended the activity, which was held onsite at the Ground Floor of the International College, Khon Kaen University and also online by electronics meeting.

Asst. Prof. Sirimonporn Thipsing, Dean of the International College revealed that it is the objective of the College to be known more broadly among students, parents and the public. The College is dedicated to the society by carrying out the activity under the Insider Project, which has been organized continuously for 8 years now. This year, the 4th year students of KKUIC majoring in international marketing constructed contents in the form of short video clips for competition about the story of each of the 7 fields offered by IC in order to introduce them to the public. These video clips promote the IC programs through different channels such as Facebook, YouTube, Tik Tok and Instagram. Students and the public could join the competition arranged for them to show their capacity in producing media and using the story-telling technique that also show their creativity. The topic for video clip competition was: How to Dress for the World to Remember” under the theme: Neon Galaxy.

The KKUIC: the insider 8 KKUIC – the inspiring entertainment was aimed at building perception of the International College of Khon Kaen University, encouraging high school students to know their target in continuing their education at a university level, and giving foundation knowledge to the students that joined. The students also learned how to work together as a team, and how to live with others. The students of the international marketing program were trained to apply their classroom learning in real situation, from planning, solving problems to arranging activities. The net earnings from the event will be given to Khon Kaen 1997 Education Foundation.

Miss Kanokphit Aksornnu, Chairperson of the Project said that they had applied the theories learned in classrooms to real situations, especially the situation of Covid pandemic that happened for many years and is still ongoing. The project has been carried out every year for the 8th time now. It was hoped that the Project would help the young children, the target group of IC in particular, to use social media and online communications appropriately. They could bring the knowledge obtained from the Project to develop their future occupation and raise incomes. For Kanokphit herself, she said she had learned from experienced individuals in the field and can use the knowledge in her life in the future.
