Faculty of Engineering extends MOU with Thai Oil Energy Service, as a firm step towards international standard

March 4, 2024 – Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University and Thai Oil Energy Service Co. Ltd., held an MOU signing ceremony. Assoc. Prof. Ratchapon Suntiwarakorn, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty welcomed the administrators and distinguished guests at Conference Room 1, 8th Floor, Pianvijitr Building. Among those signing the MOU were Assoc. Prof. Ratchapon Suntiwarakorn, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty and witness – Asst. Prof. Kritsanarat Nitisiri, Ph.D., Assistant to the Dean for Student Development and Alumni Relation, on KKU part; and Khun Wirot Wongsatirayangkoon and Khun Nattapon Meerit, on the part of Thai Oil Energy Service Co. Ltd., and the witness, Khun Sukulaya Weeradechapon.

Assoc. Prof. Ratchapon Suntiwarakorn, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering said that the objectives of this MOU are to collaborate in education and student development so that the students will acquire new knowledge; to allocate scholarships to students with good academic records and behavior; to support the students to be employed; and to support cooperative education program so that the students can train under real situation at the company. Another key objective is to promote competitive competency of the students in the labor market at the national and international levels to step firmly towards the international standard. This MOU signing has been done for the second time after the first, 6 years ago.

“The MOU between the Faculty of Engineering and Thai Oil Energy Service Co. Ltd., is an important tool to promote and develop students to possess knowledge and skills useful for their future occupation in the industrial sector. They will be able to apply the knowledge from classroom in real practice and the workplace, where the students will receive good experiences, see the working atmosphere, know how to plan their life, adjust themselves in the job and learn more skills such as team working, systematic working, communicating with their colleagues, coordination and others, which will benefit the students when they graduate and enter the job market in the future,” said Assoc. Prof. Ratchapon Suntiwarakorn.
